Gold Coast Bulletin
February 2019 - March 2019
During this Internship I was exposed to life in a news room. Often this meant sitting in on news conferences, chasing lead sources, and writing intensively. I was able to experience court reporting, lifestyle reporting, and other various genres. I wrote many articles that were then published in the Bulletin. This was an incredible experience for me to learn the in's and out's of print journalism.

Internship Experience
Gold Coast Film Festival
January 2019 - April 2019
The 2019 Gold Coast Film Festival ran over the 3rd - 14th April. Across these 12 days, I was partaking in a range of major events, which often included doing 10hr shifts across each of the days. Across each of the events my roles and responsibilities varied; however, my overall task was to manage the Film Festival’s social media across Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. I assisted with event pack up and pack down and was exposed to the behind the scenes of events, PR, and marketing. Before the festival I spent 10 weeks in the office where I was contributing to social media marketing and creating content, as well as creating the online newsletters 'Cinefile'. I assisted with various tasks around the office including Excel spreadsheet planning and structuring.
